Hold My Face (2018)

POEM / VIDEO

poem written in a window seat at cafe java in snowy halifax, nova scotia, staring out at a wintry car mechanics / so cold there in the winter that you have to rug up every part of your body, definitely your nose otherwise it will turn painfully red / in this poem i recalled a moment with a dear friend in which we’d had a long wait at a train station after a night out partying.. i was trying to imagine how different that moment would have been if we were co-dependent lovers, rather than just mates / hm /

i read this out at open mic house, a weekly event where a home is opened up into a spoken word night, an incredible community space / back in australia, i turned into a video project with the help of dear evan & dear lizzie - watch it       -->              here
