IMMERSIVE QUEST
created during lockdown with the hope of bringing play & collaborative quest energy to quarantined people... this became an epic collaboration with culture jam - this full-day adventure involves using a kit and an app to explore your own neighbourhood.. you’re on a mission sent from the year 2040 to join the illustrious eco-tech organisation ‘propagate inc.’ hundreds of people played so far, roamin’ around town, doing cool activities.. wow this was really so wild and hopefully this super exciting augmented reality experience we built shall be ressurected. a little teaser video about it is here.

a reimagining of the board game ‘monopoly’ as an interactive theatre show / audience members purchased tickets to ‘scenes’ rather than houses & hotels / there was an app, it was wild !! / we got a write-up from Broadsheet (click!) & then suddenly everyone wanted a ticket & the quite big nightclub in northcote where this was going down wasn’t nearly big enough to contain all the energy / incredible team of actors, designers, collaborators, including tom, laura, annie and oh so many legends !! / video here

IMMERSIVE FESTIVAL POP-UP
whilst walking out the door to a music festival, vadim and i thought ‘what would happen if we made some cameras out of cardboard, and roamed around creating a fake movie?’ the rhetorical question had more legs than we expected, and saw us gain access to the main stage, get told that we ‘won’ the festival, behold heartfelt confessions of love and almighty river wrestling matches and ultimately be given a small budget to upgrade the equipment for the following year’s festival. the whole thing served as a wonderful vehicle for people to play. so many amazing people took part in this, and we have many dreams and ideas of what projects the ‘so real film’ crew might tackle next.

ARTISTIC RETREAT
many of the best times in my life have had these conditions:
a group of people in a new environment, a set time limit, an encourangement of art / collaboration / sharing / communal meals / inahle & exhale / wacky dress ups & restful reading relaxation.. in this spirit, ‘creative cats,’ long-weekend getaways, four have happened so far in phillip island / barwon heads / lorne / barwon heads again... they always have had 12 people, in sheer coincidence !!
an old invite here.. to give more of the gist // it shall potentially happen again, perhaps in some misc european locale.. i will post info here when it does :))
