why does anyone do anything really? hard to say.. i think sometimes for me it’s partially a linguistic motivation.. words fitting together that bit too well to resist / in this case, video poetry becomes videoetry, a portmanteau which i seemed to explore thrice in the meandering beginning of 2018 where i was venturing curiously over to canada to spend some time with ross
‘shanghai wrong answers’ filmed at the airport
‘bonsai billiards’ filmed in steph’s room
‘fire and ice revised’ filmed in the forest
also we got ‘things aren’t still’ from a sleepy lunch break, the mission statement of ‘i create’ and a couple real throwbacks to ‘relaxation station’ and ‘special spot,’ from an energised time in 2014 when something really wanted to burst forth . a total of seven poems, given life in the video setting . nice
