Visual Art Is A Stretch (2021)
INK ON PAPER
this work was swimming vaguely in my head for a couple of months, and then the specifics were suddenly all jotted down in my phone notes during a public transport journey from Weißensee to Alt Treptow, then executed, stuck on the wall and photographed in about an hour and a half the next day... all of which feels interesting in the differing speeds and energies that can be part of the same process. Is something inherently more valuable or worthwhile because it took longer? This series is a response to hearing opinions lately about whether text belongs in visual art.
